Something about me.

That's me on the left - and I'm introducing myself in the most photographic way possible!

A bit about me.

When I first made the decision to attend photography school in 2005 I was in the “janitorial sciences” trying to figure out what I really wanted to do with my life. I had developed (pun intended) a deep interest in photography over the past 7 years before that time and after some deep soul searching I decided to make the move to Turners Falls, MA to study at Hallmark Institute of Photography.

Initially wanting to focus my studies in commercial product photography so I could move to NYC and be a “cool” photographer, my plans changed when I realized I wasn't NYC cool (I'm just Bruno cool), though I still have an interest in commercial photography.

To my surprise.

I did find, surprisingly, that I have a somewhat good eye for portraiture. I should have known right away as I have always been able to relate and “mix well” with a wide variety of people. What was also surprising was how difficult it was to work with someone in front of a camera.

Most people get really nervous in front of a camera – we all want to look our best for something that will freeze us in time forever. It wasn't until the last few months of school that I really started to learn how to relate to people in front of the lens and put people at ease. This is never easy - nor should it be. Getting your photo right is of utmost importance to me so I work really hard at it.

Post graduation -

Since I graduated from photography school, I have grown even more by leaps and bounds. I've learned not only how to make better pictures through my own discovery, self-education and experimentation but have learned how to make a great experience and give great customer service to clients right here in central Pennsylvania.

One day I hope to have a studio where clients can come in and visit, view my portfolio in real life and have their portrait taken, however at this time I work on-location. This is much easier than you might think and often yields the most fantastic, creative photographs. Just take a look at my gallery or services sections to see lots of examples of my portrait taken on-location..

Thanks for spending the time to learn a bit about me. If you would like to email me, please feel free to do so. I check my email many times a day unless I'm on the road, on my way to the next photo assignment. I'll try to respond to your questions or comments within 48 hours.

Also, I invite you to check out my blog. There is some good stuff on there that will be of interest to you.
